Private tutor in New York, NY
Hunter College - BA, Economics , Harvard University - JD, Law
I'm a tutor in Long Island City, New York. I graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College with a bachelor's degree in Economics, and obtained my J.D. from Harvard Law School, where I studied corporate law, business, and finance. I also completed a graduate-level certificate program in Advanced Calculus with Financial Engineering Applications from the Baruch College Financial Mathematics department. I'm currently a CFA candidate. I believe that the traditional classroom atmosphere isn't an ideal learning environment for all students, and that one-on-one tutoring can be extremely helpful to students who are working to overcome academic obstacles. I enjoy tutoring students in math and business-related subjects, because these are subjects that I personally find interesting. I work hard to help students become confident in their abilities to master these subjects. I tutor students in algebra, calculus, geometry, elementary school math, middle school math, statistics, trigonometry, multivariable calculus, and math. Additionally, I tutor students in microeconomics, macroeconomics, business, and economics, as well as help students with SAT and LSAT test prep. In my free time, I enjoy art, reading, film, basketball, learning about different types of technology, and playing Texas Hold 'Em. I also practice Muay Thai -- a type of kickboxing.
