I earned my bachelor's degree from CUNY, and went on to study Modern Psychoanalysis and Psychology at Goddard College, where I earned my master's degree. I have also performed advanced studies at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, located in New York City. I have had a successful career as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and have published a number of books. Through my publishing efforts, I ended up becoming CEO of the publishing company. This has given me the opportunity to work with beginning writers and experienced writers. I've helped them with college applications, writing and practicing speeches, and interviewing for jobs or academic programs. I have worked with students learning English for the first time. While English is my passion, I am also qualified to tutor in numerous other subjects, such as history, art, classic cinema, and political science. I've always been excited about learning, and the chance to share my knowledge with others. I grew up in a bilingual atmosphere, so I am comfortable with both English and Spanish. My secret when tutoring is to create an atmosphere where my students feel comfortable and safe being themselves and making the errors that are all part of the learning process.

I have loved music of all kinds from an early age, from pop and jazz to classical. I'm a die-hard Mets fan and relish the excitement of a good game.
