My primary focus as a tutor is in guiding students through language courses. As a tutor who has experienced language courses as a student, I have firsthand experience with the hurdles, frustrations, and challenges that arise when learning to speak, read, and write a new language. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. Lawrence University, where I had a multi-language major in Mandarin, Spanish, and French, and minored in communications.I believe that my educational background gives me a unique perspective. Not only do I understand my students' issues with the subject matter, but I know how to devise and utilize effective strategies for getting them over those barriers. I enjoy providing my pupils with a great learning environment, which includes focusing on the benefits of learning how to reach new audiences with their newly acquired language skills, investigating the culture around the language, and exploring the tonal nuances that make a huge impact on students' fluency. As a tutor, I'm proud to offer my students help in courses such as French 1, French 2, Italian, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, English, public speaking, and study skills and organization.In my free time outside of tutoring, I love dancing, traveling, acting, and practicing archery.
