Experience
I have tutored a broad range of subjects for the past ten years. My focus has been math, Spanish and Russian language, English writing and grammar, and test preparation. I also tutor European and American History, usually as preparation for the AP test though I have prepared lessons on specific topics, as well as linguistic theory. SAT 2280, ACT 35, GRE 780 Verbal/790 Math, National Merit Scholar AP Scores: US History 5 English Language 5 English Literature 5 Spanish Language 5 European History 4 Biology 4 Psychology 4 I have always thought of tutoring as the best kind of job, and one of the most challenging; identifying the specific problem a student is having with a topic and finding the best way to communicate an understanding of it has been incredibly rewarding for me. My experiences teaching a broad range of subjects to students of all kinds have taught me to adapt to an equally broad range of learning styles. I am also available for emergency tutoring sessions (i.e. up to 48 hours before a test) for an additional $10/hour, and for group tutoring sessions (email me for rates).
