I am certified to teach K-12 in NYC Public Schools, with a specialization Music. I have student taught in classrooms in the Bronx and in Midtown West, though I found my passion lies in one-on-one, or small group teaching. I began tutoring my peers when I was in High School and continued throughout both my degrees. I have found it to be the most effective and pleasurable form of teaching I know. My strength lies in finding innovative, fun ways of teaching concepts and inspiring students to learn. My goal in my tutoring career is to make sure my students learn and understand ideas in lasting ways, not simply 'teaching to the test'. Along with being a certified teacher, I passed the AP exams in Calculus, Physics, and European Civilization. I was awarded several scholarships while in college, including the Sir Harold Acton Scholarship, Steinhardt Graduate Scholarship, and the Music and Performing Arts Scholarship.
