I am a resident of Flushing, New York, currently working towards my goals of receiving a doctorate in physics and becoming a professor. I earned my bachelor's degree from CUNY Baruch College. Tutoring is one of the ways I am working to achieve my goals, since it involves motivating people who are struggling both academically and in life. I truly enjoy helping students learn. Tutoring helps me as it reinforces my knowledge of the material I am teaching. I feel that I learn as much from my students as they do from me! When taking a class, I analyze the methods used by my teachers and think of ways I might be able to improve upon them. When tutoring, I adjust my approach to the needs of my students. For example, I have moved individual students being tutored one-on-one into small groups after discovering that a particular student learned more by interacting with other students. I have been tutoring for several years. My favorite subjects to tutor are physics and math. I am also able to tutor arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus 1, 2, and 3, multivariable calculus, physical science, chemistry, astronomy, various levels of physics, C++, technology, and computer science.In my spare time, I enjoy working out, playing chess, playing soccer, swimming, reading science articles, NASA, watching stand-up comedies, attending college student club activities and events, and studying physics.
