Experience
I have a great deal of experience with visual arts tutoring, including fine arts and also art history. When the opportunity arises, I take students to museums or galleries for a first-hand experience. I also help with test prep and have given students more confidence for the ACT and SAT. I've taken these myself so have been in those shoes and know these standardized tests can be conquered with a little practice. I know the right practice techniques. Also, I love to learn; it is my goal to provide each student with that same desire and hope that it helps achieve a higher level of success in school.A medievalist at heart, I am always delighted when the subject of knights and castles comes up. I am actually an Olympic-style archer and have competed in the sport. At the Courtauld Institute in London, I earned a master's degree in the History of Art. I'm now in a year off and working for an academic journal. After this year I will begin my PhD. I have also studied at Brandeis University. Living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I also enjoy hiking, chess, and playing guitar when I have the opportunity and not hard at work.
