Experience
I will soon graduate from Binghamton University with a B.S. degree in Integrative Neuroscience. I have done well in undergraduate school and was inducted into the honors Scholars Program at Binghamton. I intend to continue my education into medical school. My tutoring experience has been with high school students mainly focused on mathematics classes. I have also tutored some college friends in chemistry. I particularly enjoy tutoring courses in Trigonometry, Algebra, SAT Math and ACT Math. I like to analyze and manipulate different math functions. I have a growing interest in Biology and Organic Chemistry. I have much more experience tutoring math subjects, but I want to expand my teaching to include science as well. I try to present my students with problems to solve with the knowledge they learn. I think this is the best way for them to learn and have a better understanding of concepts. This type of tutoring using problem solving gives students greater knowledge retention than just mere fact memorization. I also tutor the math subjects of Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, and Basic Math. Other science courses I can tutor include Physics and Psychology. My outside interests and hobbies involve running, video games, listening to rock music, and reading novels.
