Education
I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BS Mathematics and BA Linguistics with an overall GPA of 3.5 from 2007-2010. I then attended the Semester at Sea program to study abroad in 2010 to increase my exposure to the world, as well as take a graduate level Environmental Sciences class.
Experience
As a former Teach for America candidate, and a UTeach graduate, I have a broad spectrum of experience in the classroom teaching mathematics (I am certified to teach in New York and Texas). I love helping students reach and exceed their goals, and I am excited at the opportunity to do that again on a more personal level. My favorite time with students is one-on-one because they exceed levels obtained only in a classroom setting. I have a BS in mathematics, with a focus in inquiry-based and project-based instruction. My specialty is asking the right questions to allow a student to find the answer.
