Experience
I am an experienced educator who is committed to helping students succeed. I'm able to tutor students in elementary math, American history, European history, phonics, English, reading, writing, social studies, and other subjects. I can also teach English as a second language, and I trained to teach special education. I received my degrees from Roger Williams University and Queens College, and I've had the privilege of studying abroad in both Sicily and Florence. I have my master's in Literacy Education and I am certified to teach special education. I have experience teaching students in New York, Rhode Island, and D.C., and the time I've spent teaching in a wide variety of environments has provided me with the skills and knowledge to be an effective tutor. It is very rewarding to witness a student that you've been working with grow and achieve their academic goals. As an educator I work to foster an environment in which my students feel comfortable and able to express themselves. I try to build confidence in my students and I encourage them to love learning. I look forward to helping any student become the strong learner that they deserve to be. When I'm not teaching or tutoring I enjoy dancing, sailing, and skiing.
