Swarthmore - BA, Mathematics , CUNY Graduate Center - PhD, Mathematics
I am committed to being very student-oriented, and like to help the student during our sessions by asking lots of questions. I believe active learning is best for students, and I feel they get more out of our sessions this way, rather than simply listening to me lecture. However, if a student is having issues grasping a certain concept, I am more than happy to engage in lecture-style sessions.I earned my Bachelor of Arts at Swarthmore College. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate at CUNY Graduate Center, where I am earning my degree in Mathematics. I love to help students in the subject of Math, and I have worked with all different ages, from elementary school students to high school students. I started tutoring after I earned my bachelor's degree, and have enjoyed it ever since.I offer tutoring in Algebra 1-4, Calculus 1-3, Geometry, Elementary and Middle School Math, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Chemistry, Physics, Reading, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Multivariable Calculus, Arithmetic, IB Further Mathematics HL, IB Mathematical Studies SL, IB Mathematics HL and SL, IB Physics HL, Pre-Algebra, Public Speaking, English, Science, and test prep for the SAT.
