Education

I Graduated from McGill University in 2010 with a bachelor of arts in International Development Studies and minors in Political Science and African Studies. During my third year at McGill, I completed a semester abroad at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. I was planning on attending law school next year, but decided to pursue a career in music instead. I scored a 173 on the LSAT (on my second try, a six point improvement from the first time I took it).

Experience

I can help you get at least 6-7 points better on the LSAT! Or if you are just beginning to study, I can show you the best strategy for each section and help you make a study plan. I improved from a 167 my first time to a 173 my second time. I've got each section broken down to a science and I'll show you. I have significant experience as a tutor and a sailing instructor. While completing a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, I volunteered as a tutor to elementary school students from one of the low-income townships. I worked with them in English and Math and organized games and activities. I have also worked as a sailing instructor, where I taught individual and group lessons to children and adults on several different types of sailboat. I have also taught trumpet in private and group lessons. Currently I play mostly piano but am able to teach beginner to intermediate trumpet as well. I love teaching and believe I have a natural knack for it. There is no job satisfaction like watching a student improve under my instruction.

Hobbies

I am a musician here in New York City (I play keyboards and trumpet - listen for me on the airwaves), and looking to earn a little extra cash pursuing another passion of mine: teaching. I am very laid back and friendly, and I like to be very flexible when tutoring, allowing students to take the lessons in the direction they want and learn in ways interesting to them. Besides music, I am also an avid sailor, snowboarder and soccer player. I look forward to meeting you!!
