Harvard - BA, Music and Economics

I am in my final year at Harvard University, and I attribute my success to being able to develop a love for education. Having attended a very small public high school in rural Connecticut, I would not have been able to make it into a prestigious university had I not found a way to enjoy studying for my entrance exams. Through this experience, I have learned the importance of dedication and perseverance, which I share with my students.I have been tutoring for five years, and in this time, I have worked hard to inspire and motivate students. Because of my background, I know how important it is to receive high marks on the SAT. While the test can be frustrating, and sometimes a bit pointless, I remind my students that time spent preparing for the SAT is an investment in one's future.Along with tutoring for the SAT, I also teach high school mathematics, statistics, economics, public speaking, music, social studies, and Spanish. As pianist, I am also capable of giving piano lessons. In my leisure, I enjoy writing music and watching TV. A hobby of mine is writing musicals, some of which have received praises from national celebrities.I am eager to help improve my students' grades and invest further into their futures.
