Experience
I attended Columbia where I acquired my master's degree in epidemiology. I also attended Washington University where I acquired my bachelor's degree in biology. While at Washington University, I completed extensive coursework and lab work in genetics, immunology, and physics. My GRE score was in the 90th percentile and my MCAT score was in the 91st percentile. Beyond my academic achievements, I also lived in South Korea for quite some time. While there, I taught several foreign language classes. My job as a teacher was far from a cakewalk. The classes typically were anywhere between 16 to 30 hours a week. Moreover, I had to come up with my own lesson plans, manage the language club, and I also spent a great deal of time drafting homework assignments and grading them. Still, I would have to say that my 2.5 year stint teaching there was definitely one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and I loved it! It gave me a whole new love and passion for the art of teaching. Teaching is not just a job for me. It is truly a lifestyle. I plan to teach until I cannot teach anymore. Because I am so passionate about my job, I attempt to push my students to become equally as passionate about what they're learning from me. When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing the clarinet. I also enjoy visiting different comedy clubs and going to various Broadway plays. I truly have a love of the arts.
