Rising senior at the University of Chicago getting a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in chemistry next year. Like my major states, I've taken a lot of classes in chemistry, but I'm also well versed in biology. Further, because of the core curriculum and UChicago, I can help out with almost any subject since I've experienced them during my 1st and 2nd years at UChicago.
Experience
I've tutored kids for Kumon in math and reading from the elementary level all the way up to calculus. I've also tutored students in the Chicago Public Schools in the those subjects as well. My style as a tutor is that I want to help students understand each problem and find a general approach that they can use to quickly solve other problems like them. My ACT composite was a 34 with 34's in Reading and Science and a 36 in Math. I also did well on the SAT with an 800 in math, 740 in reading, and 700 in writing so I'm well prepared for helping students learn how to defeat those standardized tests.

Hobbies
In my spare time, I really enjoy watching cooking and food shows - I really have an obsession with food. Sadly, I can't cook, but that will change because I want to know how to make the food to keep up with my obsession. Keeping with the theme of food, I spend a lot of time on food websites to see where I should go eat next. I'm also musical since I've played the violin and piano since elementary school.
