I have always been passionate about mathematics. Specially I am very interested in sharing my knowledege with others. When I was an undergraduate student, I worked as a tutor for about three years. As a tutor, I have tutored many subjects ranging from elementary aljebra to partial differential equations. Over the years, I have also held many positions associated with tutoring. I have been an in class tutor, where I helped students overcome their difficulties in basic arithemetic and aljebra. I have also been a workshop instructor, where I delivered lectures to math immersion students at the college of staten island. Currently, I hold the title of an adjucnt lecturer at the City University of New York. I have also worked as a Research Assistant. As a Research Assistant, I applied numerical analysis to fluid mechanics data. During my research, I was able to learn how those complex mathematics can be applied to real world. I personally believe that it is not just about comprehending the material for a student, but also he/she should have some brief understanding of the applicability of material. When I tutor, I make sure that the tutee understands to some extent how mathematics can be aplied in real world. It will certainly bring them more job opportunitites.
