Experience

I started my teaching career while a graduate student at NYU. I taught creative and expository writing there for three years, then went on to teach in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric at Stanford for two years. I also worked as a writing coach at the Stanford Graduate School of business. In 2004 I started a tutoring company called Chipster in the San Francisco Bay Area, and worked with clients from ages 12-55 on admissions essays, school assignments, and creative projects.
