I graduate from Frederick Douglass Academy in 2010 with an High School Diploma. I am also a certified Teaching Assistant. I am currently enrolled at Ashford University majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Experience
Working as a Teaching Assistant for 5 years at my previous job; Kumon Math and Reading Learning Center, I have been trained to work with students of various ages ranging from 3 years to high school. I have been trained in early childhood development as well as primary instruction for those students who have learning disorders or have trouble learning independently in general. I want to be a tutor because I have seen how hard it is for kids to get the right kind of help when needed and many kids struggle with school because they don't have the necessary assistance when it comes to learning. I would like to take the training and skills that I have learned and assist students in achieving their goals and helping them realize that its not whether your good or bad at school work, but how you take steps in making sure that you get the necessary help needed to insure the best grades possible.
