Experience
Education is so important to me that I received a graduate degree in International and Intercultural Education. My education background has helped me become very proficient when it comes to researching specific topics, and writing about that research. I can help my students learn how to fact-find and draw conclusions based on those facts. I have taught in a variety of locations to many different types of students. For example, I lived in Haiti for a few months in 2012, teaching English, and I found that experience to be very rewarding. Back here in the US, I teach English grammar, reading comprehension, and writing to middle and high school students, as well as college students who need help with essay writing and academic papers. I was also a Spanish interpreter for many years, with two years interpreting at a law firm so clients and attorneys could understand each other's needs. Because I have practical use of Spanish, I can also help students learn Spanish grammar and pronunciation, whether they need to learn the language as an adult for business reasons, or as a young student seeking language credits.
