Experience
I am a former high school English teacher, with experience as both a private and volunteer tutor in English, Reading, Writing, Latin and Ancient Greek. I was voted the Campus Teacher of the Year in 2013 by the 60 teachers I worked with. I hoping to obtain a position as a tutor for middle or high school aged students in order to supplement my income while attending graduate school next year. More importantly, I want to inspire a love for learning in students who are seeking academic support and/or enrichment in humanities course work. Relevant test scores include: SAT Verbal - 800 SAT Writing - 780 GRE Verbal - 169 (99th percentile) GRE Quantitative - 164 (80th percentile) GRE Writing - 5.0 (93rd percentile)

Hobbies
I love to read novels of all kinds, but especially: mystery, historical fiction, the classics, fantasy/science fiction. I am people person, never shy, always talkative and ready to draw people out. I miss being a teacher, and love to work with students. It is a joy to help a student succeed where they thought they would never be able to.
