Experience
Over the years, I have amassed a great deal of tutoring experience and am able to use that experience to be an effective and dedicated teacher. From high school on, I have been involved in a variety of tutoring projects and can help students of any age on several subjects. I have experience in helping students in a variety of settings, such as in a classroom, group learning, or on an individual basis. I have a particular interest in teaching reading and math skills to elementary students and that has led to my pursuing a career as a teacher. I am a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Education and Child Studies, as well as a teacher's certification. I am currently working on a master's degree from Columbia University, focusing on Elementary Inclusive Education and Special Education. I enjoy teaching and I feel as if we are never done with the learning process. We continue to learn throughout our lives, which is doubly important for teachers. I hope to inspire in others an appreciation for learning and continual development. When I'm able to, I enjoy activities such as reading, cooking, traveling, and hiking.
