Boston University - BA, Chemistry

I enjoy helping learners reach their goals in challenging subjects, like math. Therefore, I like tutoring. It is my goal to help them discover that even difficult subjects can be learned. In order to learn math, you must first learn how to solve the problem. The most important part of this learning process is comprehending the reason why these steps are taken. The interesting thing about math is that there are many ways to come to a solution. I strive to reveal the fastest and easiest to understand route to students, and I have found that using creative methods to memorize formulas and solve problems helps to achieve this. It is my desire that during each tutoring session that students can learn a minimum of one tip about the topic being studied. The same approach can be taken for chemistry. One quarter of chemistry is memorization, and the other three quarters are about understanding. Once a chemistry topic is understood by a student, memorizing is made easy. Often when tutoring chemistry students, I will compare the concept to the real world. This makes comprehending easier. I will try my best to give each student the tools necessary to achieve the grade that they desire.
