In my 5+ years of education experience (teaching & tutoring), what I have enjoyed most is spreading the love of mathematics. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Political Science. I have my Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University and I have been in the classroom for over 5 years. I enjoy tutoring one-on-one to help move students towards their mathematical goals at an increased pace. I use various engagement and instruction strategies to ensure that you understand the “how” and the “why” behind all mathematical processes utilized. Using diagrams, visuals, analogies, and encouragement, I can help you gain a better understanding of mathematical content so you will be confident in your math class. If you are concerned about passing your Regents exam, I can ensure that you understand the curriculum so that you will not only pass but will achieve on a high level. I will help you attain your goals by suggesting relevant and targeted homework tailored to your needs at the end of each session. I will tutor at the location of your choosing on the West Side of Manhattan.
