Private tutor in New York, NY
New York University - BA, Anthropology , New York University - MA, Anthropology
Although my career goals have been scientific, I enjoy applying my creative writing and poetry skills when tutoring my students. I feel that by maximizing their writing skills, they can find and use their own unique voices. In addition to writing, I tutor in biology and the life sciences. I strongly believe that knowledge has great value. As such, I find satisfaction in providing my students with what they need for critical thinking in and out of the classroom. While at New York University, I earned a B.A. and a M.A. in Biological Anthropology. My focus was on primatology and behavioral biology and, as my thesis, I did fieldwork in Puerto Rico. There I studied semi-wild monkeys and their infant development and endocrinology. Presently, I'm attending Stony Brook University, where I am pursuing an Anthropological Sciences doctorate. I wasn't always a science major. Prior to that I studied French and English, and immersed myself in both language and literature. While still an undergrad I further pursued learning French when I spent the summer in Paris. Creative writing has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy writing poetry. I also love reading, traveling, yoga, and hanging out with my pets.
