I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching mathematics. I graduated from Brooklyn Tech, which is a specialized high school. I am currently attending the New York Institute of Technology with the goal of completing a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. I began tutoring other students as far back as eighth grade. I started out teaching younger students at my uncle's community center. But as I began to learn more about math, I started tutoring students who were older than me. Tutoring is particularly rewarding for me because I enjoy seeing the students I tutor succeed. I am comfortable tutoring students in elementary level math, algebra, algebra 2, and middle school math. I also excel at helping students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT math section. One of my greatest accomplishments as a tutor was helping a girl get accepted into Stuyvesant High School. Teachers and tutors are given a great deal of respect in my culture. I love tutoring students because I enjoy the respect that comes with it. My goal is to do my best to improve my students' education. Outside of school, I like to play and watch basketball, play outdoors, spend time with my friends, and sketch.
