EducationNYU - Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance/Music Theatre
ExperienceEvery child can do well in school, but each child learns in a different way. The key for success in teaching is to look beyond the textbooks and find the most effective approach that is tailored for each student.I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school students on many subjects, including language (English and French) and history. I also help with test preparation. But the topics I enjoy teaching more than any other are math and writing. For young people, these are among the most important subjects to learn, and they are the most difficult to fully grasp.I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Steinhardt School at New York University, where I studied music, vocal performance, and music theater. I also minored in French, and I was a National Merit Finalist in 2011.Along with working in the classroom, I am trying to develop a career on the stage as an actor. I enjoy performance - I am also taking classes in dance, and I love to sing as well. I live in New York, which is not only a great city to pursue a theater career but also a fun place to explore. I like spending free time finding books I haven't read and food I haven't eaten at small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants.
