As a tutor, I focus on learning and attaining a full understanding of concepts rather than the memorization of specific formulas. In this way, my students are better able to handle difficult questions. I work with my students by solving problems together, then we analyze specific steps that were not understood. During SAT and AP Chemistry lessons, we review previous exam questions. In this way, my students become familiar with the exam structure and build confidence. What makes me a great tutor is that I can effectively share my deep level of chemistry knowledge with my students. I have worked as a Chemistry and AP Chemistry instructor at a private high school for three years. I began tutoring chemistry in college. I attended Bogazici University and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemistry Instruction.Currently, I live in New York City and exclusively tutor chemistry (General Chemistry, IB Chemistry HL, IB Chemistry SL, AP Chemistry, and preparation for the SAT Subject Test in Chemistry). In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, discovering new places, and walking around the city.
