Experience
I've been teaching math and language arts in grades 5 & 6 for the past eight years. I have experience working with both affluent and urban populations and extensive experience in working with students with learning disabilities, reading disabilities, autism, ADHD, ODD, etc. I've worked as a progressive educator and have experience with test prep, remediation of basic skills, and enrichment. My proudest moment was building a community garden with my current fifth grade students at our school on 120th street, and completing service projects that promote leadership, compassion, and kindness in my students. Along the way, I've tutored kids in grades 1-6 in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, & Writing. I love the chance to work one on one with a child to help them achieve their dreams.
