Private tutor in New York, NY
Harvard - BA, Applied Math - Economics
I am currently a junior at Harvard. My undergraduate focus is economics, but I have several other interests that keep me academically challenged. I love to help other students overcome their own academic challenges. For two summers in a row, I've been fortunate enough to travel to China to teach a 10-day conference hosted by a student-run organization at Harvard. The students who took part were Chinese high school students, and I got to teach them in several different areas of study and also facilitated discussions. I try to find new points of view and new angles of attack when approaching problems. As a tutor, I can help with standardized and college test preparation, including the ACT, SAT, and Advanced Placement courses. I'm an economics major who loves mathematics, so I can tutor students in subjects from elementary school math to high school algebra, calculus, and statistics. I can also help with economics subjects such as macroeconomics and microeconomics. Writing and reading comprehension are very important as well, so I help students with essay editing, literature, and preparation for the SAT critical reading section. I'm great with history and psychology, too! In my free time, I enjoy running, playing mariachi music, writing, cycling, traveling, and cooking.
