Experience
I am a Princeton grad and hold a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. Throughout all my years of school and since, my passion has long been teaching. No matter what the subject or assignment, what drives my teaching is a commitment to helping students engage what may be challenging, daunting and even engigmatic in ways that enable her or him to be in charge. In particular, my approach is to help students solve a problem – how to solve a problem, how to write an essay, how to research a subject, how to prepare a presentation and how plan a long paper. I am strong believer that students are more talented than they may know! I am highly qualified in a broad range of school subjects and academic disciplines, from Math, English, Literature, History, and Anthropology, all of these at all levels. Throughout all of these is Writing, a practice I also teach and advise. I am a strong believer in the power that writing as tool and expressive form gives to students, writing can be quite liberating!
