Experience
As an experienced teacher, I believe I have the necessary skill set to tutor students to success. I attended Syracuse University, where I attained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and minored in mathematics. Once I graduated, I went to work for an alternative energy company. After a hiatus from education, I went back to school for my master's degree in Meteorology at Penn State. After that, I worked for NASA as a computer programmer outside of Washington D.C. Syracuse is where my love affair with teaching began. I tutored peers there in everything from Algebra to Physics. I taught Introductory Meteorology at Penn State, too. After a while of working for NASA, my desire to educate was not quelled, so I decided to go back to school and change my career path. I graduated from the City College of New York with a master's in Secondary Math Education, and now I am teaching at the Academy for Software Engineering.My line of work is not much like work at all. I am happy to bring fun and simplified understanding to those struggling in areas where I am competent. I work to instill confidence in students so that they may be inspired to grasp difficult material. Anywhere a student is lacking in the world of math and science, rest assured, I can turn the situation around.
