Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
Brown University - BA, double major in History and Art-Semiotics , Columbia University in the City of New York - MFA, Nonfiction Writing
Experience
I graduated from Brown University with a double major in History and Art-Semiotics, and was also magna cum laude in my class. After graduating, I worked in film and television and then proceeded to become employed at a law office doing case research and writing legal briefs. Most recently, I graduated with my Master of Fine Arts for Nonfiction Writing. I have written articles, essays, and right now I'm writing my first book. My passion is writing and teaching, and while I was in graduate school, I taught students and instructed them on writing their own essays. I have also helped students with preparing for the SAT exam and also how to go about writing their essays to enter into college. I feel as though individual teaching is key, and that by teaching one on one the student will be able to accomplish their goals and be able to express themselves easier than if they were tutored in a group. Patience is important when teaching, and also presenting the material in a fun way to make learning more enjoyable. When I'm not tutoring, I love to write and also am a filmmaker. I love history, cycling, and am also a dog lover.
