Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
UCLA - BA, Economics / History (double major)
Experience
I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in economics and history. I currently reside in the New York City area and am able to tutor subjects in both high school and college level course content. The style in which instruct is based on dissecting the course material into smaller segments and focusing on comprehension of these segments of information before introducing the full concept. I feel that this allows for a more full understanding of the material in the course. My tutoring experience derives from both previous employment training and instruction given to fellow students while obtaining my education. I have trained employees in both group and individual settings while working for Deutsche Bank, provided group assistance on essay writing for students at UCLA, and worked on an individual basis with students and former colleagues. I am able to provide tutoring in college essay writing, public speaking, reading, several mathematics courses, and general writing skills. I am most passionate about teaching history, economics, and geography. I have also coached UCLA students in debate and negotiations and provided assistance with SAT and SAT subject tests. My interests outside of academia include archery, reading military history, and linguistics, as well as watching and producing films. I also enjoy running to keep fit.
