I am a tutor who is passionate about helping students improve their reading and writing skills. I would love to help students with their algebra, geometry, elementary math, statistics, trigonometry, reading, writing, literature, social studies, English, Spanish, and a variety of other subjects. I'm also available to do standardized test prep. I received my degrees in both English and Film and Television Studies at the University of Vermont. I've worked with students on a wide range of subjects, however I'm most passionate about tutoring reading and writing. I am a patient tutor who works to foster a supportive, positive environment for all of my students. With that said, I still push my students to better themselves as learners and overcome their challenges. I've seen my students improve and succeed and I know that this is possible for any student who is struggling. I encourage my students to value education and I work to discover the individual learning styles of each of my students. I believe that with persistence and the right education, a person can reach their fullest potential. In my free time I love to write, read good books, cross stitch, knit, and attempt do-it-yourself projects. I also enjoy cooking and baking, going on hikes, painting, and attending the theater.
