Education

I recently graduated from Princeton University as a member of the class of 2015. I majored in German Media Theory, which is a branch of German philosophy. I earned a GPA of 3.9 and graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa (Highest Honors Society) I attended Phillips Exeter Academy for high school. (I am happy to talk about the boarding school experience, as well as my experience with the application process.) Before that, I went to bilingual schools in Switzerland, California, and France.

Experience

I taught a German course at Concordia Language Villages for a summer, preparing three workshops a day for students ranging from 8 to 18 years of age. I've also done adult education tutoring in various subjects, and peer tutoring in writing and literary interpretation. I received an 800 Verbal, 800 Writing and 750 Math on my SATs, 800s on my French and English SAT II subject tests, and a 5 on my German AP. I want to tutor because I was taught to approach subjects that I found difficult--like math--in unusual ways, and was able to perform very well in those areas as a result. I would like to help other students learn in the same way.

Hobbies

I love radio, both talk and music. I am a radio DJ at WPRB, the Princeton University radio station, and also work for our News division, producing weekly stories about Princeton arts and culture. I also have a passion for archives. I have worked in the Rare Books division of Princeton's Firestone Library, and currently work as a research assistant for Phono-Post, a new archive of phonographic postcards from the early 20th century.
