I am a tutor who is passionate about working to help students. I'd love to help students who are struggling with elementary math, reading, literature, American history, social studies, English, and a variety of other subjects. I am currently working towards my degrees in Dance and Health Science with a minor in Therapeutic Recreation at the State University of New York Brockport. I have worked with students of different ages and skill levels in a variety of environments. I have designed individualized curriculum for elementary school students who struggle with writing and reading, tutored students in writing, reading, and history, and also helped prepare students for standardized tests like the ACT, SAT, and Regents exam. I am truly passionate about teaching and learning. I highly value education and I believe that an education is a powerful thing to have in the world. It would be a privilege to work with students and help them achieve their goals. As a tutor I understand that I must cater my teaching style to the individual needs of my students, as everyone learns in different ways. In my spare time I enjoy going for runs, reading good books, volunteering in my community, and spending time with my friends and family.
