Experience
I graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, with a focus in French. In addition, I received certification in journalism and media studies. Upon graduating, I moved to New York City and began working in media.I have a wealth of experience in education, where I spent years working as a volunteer in public schools. This opportunity has allowed me to work with a diverse range of children of different backgrounds and age groups. Furthermore, I have tutored middle school and high school mathematics, English, and French to a number of students in my community. While these are the three subjects I feel the most passionate about, I am also able to tutor reading and writing as well as help students improve their study skills. As a teacher, I believe that good study habits and strong organizational skills are crucial to facilitate learning in the classroom. I work hard to build close relationships with my students, encouraging communication and trust, to make our lessons fun and engaging. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy cooking, playing the piano, playing board games, and reading. I particularly love reading novels. I also enjoy exercising, which I do through participating in spin class and playing tennis.
