I received my bachelor's in business administration, with a focus on finance, from James Madison University. I have been working in finance for the past ten years. I am currently the vice president for an asset management firm in New York City. It is my responsibility to assist my clients in making smart and responsible financial decisions.Because of my background, I find it exciting to be able to explain finance and economics to my clients as well as my students. My tutoring experience includes helping my coworkers, in addition to students, prepare and study for standardized tests in finance. I have helped my peers prepare for the CFA Level I, Series 7, and Series 66 exams.As a teacher, I believe it is essential to assess the student's strengths and weak points and then customize a curriculum that helps him or her overcome areas that need improvement. In addition to finance and business, I am able to tutor accounting, elementary math, algebra, statistics, English as a foreign language, and economics.My hobbies include exercising, which I do through snowboarding. I also like to visit trendy new restaurants. I am an avid traveler who has lived in a variety of countries, including Switzerland, where I attended boarding school as a youth.
