Experiences I have tutored since I was in high school. My first tutoring experience was when I tutored Math at the local middle school through a program at my high school. I went on to become a TA (Teacher's Assistant) for college level Calculus I in my sophomore year of college after receiving an A in the course. I have also tutored for the SAT subject test in Mathematics in my spare time in college. Overall I am patient, persistent, and assertive. These aspects of my personality have been effective in my prior teaching experiences. I have always dedicated time to tutor younger classmates during college which has helped me tremendously in retaining the material. After I have taught a particular subject matter, if my student can teach the subject matter effectively back to me, then the material is better retained. I believe I have the skills one needs to help your child improve in his or her test taking skills. I would be honored to work with your child and improve his or her overall academic experience.
