Experience
As an editor, performer, tutor and published writer and poet, I engage each of my students based on their individual needs, whether it is improving their conversational English, business English, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation or all of the above, or helping edit and prepare schoolwork or papers for submission. I began tutoring over a decade ago, teaching English and music to students at daycares and conservatories, and helping both native and foreign university students brush up their essays and improve their reading, writing and speaking skills. As a native English speaker with working knowledge of French and basic Hebrew, I can also help smooth the transition to the US for French and Hebrew speakers with very little background in English. I am also well versed in the differences between American and UK English. I have edited front page pieces for the New York Times magazine and other major publications, and my writing has been published in major university presses.

Hobbies
I am a singer-songwriter and guitar player, and also have a secret love of science fiction (I am currently the editor for an online science-fiction and fantasy magazine where I enjoy helping budding writers hone their creative skills). I am comfortable working with children and adults, and love to learn about my students’ backgrounds and hear their stories while teaching them English, which becomes as much a learning experience for me as it does for them.
