Experience
I attended Sarah Lawrence College, and I am an experienced writing and English tutor. I gained much of my tutoring experience when working at the Santa Rosa Junior College Writing Center. There, I worked one-on-one with students of all ages and backgrounds, including ESL and advanced students. I helped these students write essays and work on their reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Many students at the center requested me as their tutor every week after they worked with me just once. I have also helped graduate students write and edit great English literature thesis papers. During my tutoring experience, I have worked with students of all ability levels, including those with learning difficulties. I can now tutor anyone who wants to improve their grades and language skills, from students just learning English grammar to those working on perfecting their college papers and theoretical arguments. I have a very warm and compassionate personality, and these qualities help me create a positive and collaborative tutoring environment for every student I work with. However, I do challenge my students to ensure they reach their greatest potential. I like to help students find the right answers instead of just telling them what do write or do. As a tutor, I am always professional and punctual.
