Education

Parsons The New School for Design - MA, Fashion Studies

Experience

I studied foreign languages and linguistics, with a concentration in French and Russian, at the University of New Mexico and at McGill University in Montreal. I am also a graduate of Parsons The New School for Design, which gave me my MA in Fashion Studies. I currently work in the Art History and Theory department at Parsons and have led many workshops on art for elementary students over the summer months.I am able to tutor students in a wide range of subjects. This includes everything from math at a middle school level to SAT and PSAT test preparation. I do find that my passion is geared more towards essay editing, writing, and critical reading. My method of teaching is engaging, interactive, and tailored to specifically suit a wide range of learning styles. I find it easy to help my students make a lot of progress in a short amount of time.Outside of the tutoring environment, I really enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, snowboarding, and visiting many museums.
