While attending New York University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. I rounded out this academic concentration by taking pre-medical courses, including numerous sciences classes, annually.Although I had a formidable workload, I also found the time to do some tutoring. Specifically, I tutored people between the ages of 10 and 18 in subject areas like science, reading, math, and writing. I also assisted students to get ready for SAT, PSAT, and other standardized tests, and the end result was a tangible uptick in their test scores.My scholastic training and tutoring experience have combined to make me an even better tutor, as I now have a keener ability to devise ways to clearly communicate complex ideas and concepts -- in a way that people can easily process and digest.While my expertise covers working with kids and young adults, my passion is tutoring students in grade school through high school in subject areas such as mathematics. Tutoring is to me not merely a job, but also a passion, as I derive fulfillment in assisting my students to understand material that they must grasp in order to continue to achieve their goals.After earning my degree at New York University, I went on to obtain employment in the emergency medical technician space, and I've also been expanding my area of expertise and competence by taking numerous biology courses at the graduate level.When not working, I enjoy a number of recreational activities ranging from shooting some hoops to watching stand-up comedians to reading up on the field of astronomy.
