University of Maryland-College Park - BA, English Language and Literature , Johns Hopkins University - MLA, Liberal Arts
I attended Johns Hopkins University in an interdisciplinary graduate program. I earned a master's degree in the history of music, cultural history, and art history. At the University of Maryland, I enrolled in English literature and language. I also worked as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer in creative writing and literature. I spent some time as an intern in the education department in the Folger Shakespeare Library. Furthermore, I have experience teaching research methods to students. I am capable of tutoring students young and old. I've worked with students on writing, literary analysis, SAT test prep, vocabulary, and grammar, among other vital concepts. My strongest areas are writing, critical reading, and English. I prefer tutoring students in them, though I am comfortable with a wide range of topics. I enjoy tutoring because I feel that working one-on-one with a student offers superior learning results. I enjoy supporting them as they solve problems and learn to articulate their opinions. Working together on the mechanics of writing, as well as expanding their vocabulary and improving their grammatical skills, are important skills for educational and professional success. Aside from tutoring, I am currently interning for the Guggenheim and Whitney Curatorial Departments. In my free time, I enjoy touring museums, reading, and cycling.
