Experience
I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a master's degree in history and philosophy, as well as a bachelor's degree in philosophy and in environmental science - both of which I earned at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Throughout my time as a student, I also worked as a tutor, where I've helped a number of students improve their understanding of a wide range of subjects, including how to prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and GRE. In addition to tutoring, I also worked as an actual teacher, both at Oxford and in public schools in North Carolina. While I love teaching a number of different subjects, my favorites are English, math, and writing. One of the reasons why I love teaching these courses is because they allow me to use real-world examples to present the material in ways that the students can relate to. Not only does this make the learning experience more enjoyable, but it also teaches them how to use their classroom knowledge to enrich their lives outside of the school setting. Along with teaching and tutoring, I also like to live an active and healthy lifestyle. My favorite hobbies include yoga, running, and reading new books.
