Experience

Since I graduated college, I have held a number of positions in education, publishing, marketing, and the arts. I received my BA in English from Columbia University in New York City, where I focused on the Arts, Literature, and Writing. Recently I have spent some time teaching Improvisational Acting which promotes public speaking, problem solving, creative thinking, and positive interaction. I also love to teach Creative Writing and Literature. I believe that if a student is to be successful, they must have strong skills in writing and reading. I love to read and I want to share that love with my students. I find it very rewarding to help the student who is struggling find a way to overcome whatever is challenging them. I am available to teach ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, College Essays, Study Skills and Organization, Public Speaking, English, and more. Besides teaching, I also own a small improvisational theater company that combines improv with traditional theater techniques. My other interests include travel, reading, and acting.
