Allegheny College - BS, Chemistry

As someone who has always been passionate about math and science, it was only natural for me to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at Allegheny College. I additionally plan on working toward my doctorate in chemistry at the University of Maryland in the fall. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to help students with subjects like math, biology, chemistry, and physics in Manhattan, where I attended Beacon High School. It's my philosophy that students who wish to succeed in the field of their choice need to be armed with effective problem-solving skills. I'm a firm believer in applying this approach to the classroom. I work diligently to motivate my students to not only know the material inside and out but to have the ability to identify practical methods for solving problems that will help them in the future. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I like to kick around the ball on the soccer field and serve up the ball on the tennis courts. I'm also passionate about seeing the world, and South America is one of my favorite places to visit.
