I have been tutoring fellow students as well as mentoring children since my junior year of high school. I have always been very active in student government and community service projects where tutoring is the main focus. Throughout college, and once I graduated I began tutoring while babysitting middle school children and below. My focus for employment has shifted from working with children as a babysitter, to striving to help them learn and thrive in their academic studies. I am a natural leader and in high school I was Cheerleading Captain, Student Body President , Founder and President of the Improv. Club in college as well as an active member of the student council since my middle school years. I graduated highschool from The SC Governor's School for the Arts in Humanities with a 4.7 GPA. This GPA is weighted higher than a normal 4.0 scale because I took AP classes starting my junior year.

Hobbies
My degree is in Musical Theater, so I love singing, dancing, and acting. I also grew up doing any and all sports: water skiing, snow skiing, soccer, softball, cheerleading, dance, tennis, and swim team. I'm originally from South Carolina, so I was raised on classic southern hospitality (minus the accent that I lost in college by taking acting classes). I have a witty sense of humor, and I'm constantly laughing and smiling. I believe children can teach us so much, and it brings me great joy to work with them. I love finding new ways to present material that might seem old and dull otherwise. I believe every child learns a little differently. I love to solve the mystery of what helps a child connect the dots!
