I have experience tutoring high school through college level science including Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry. I have worked with students on these subjects privately as well as through the student services at Mercy College. I find that students not strong in the sciences tend to try to memorize as much as they can. My approach to tutoring involves working with students to find how they best retain material in a way that promotes comprehension rather than memorization. This approach is the most effective and versatile and the skills my students take away from these sessions can be applied to all subject areas.
