Experience
Math and science are my main areas of focus as a tutor. I first graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Later, I went on to earn a PhD in Biology. During my graduate years, I participated in groundbreaking AIDS research as a part of a team. I tutored in Italy for a bit, and I also tutored back home in the United States for a federally funded program. I taught Principles of Immunology and both Cellular and Molecular Biology at my alma mater, Boston College, for eight terms. Naturally, I know a thing or two about biological processes.I attempt to apply scientific material to students' lives so that they may better understand what they are learning. It helps to show them physical examples of things, rather than simply reading lines from a textbook. I want to help to foster an attitude of success in all individuals. I think it is best to magnify talents and guide the student towards a career path in the areas that they are most gifted in. I enjoy many things that are not science-related, too. Italian culture is fascinating to me, since I spent some time in that country. I can't turn down a delicious meal and am interested in human rights.
